My Story

Why I Built BrainFunHub

BrainFunHub started at home. After my dad was diagnosed with dementia, I wanted to find simple games he could enjoy without stress, confusion, or constant interruptions.

What I found online usually made things harder instead of easier. Too many sites were crowded with pop-up ads, cluttered menus, tiny text, and confusing instructions. They were not built for someone like my dad, who wanted something calm, clear, and easy to understand right away.

The reason BrainFunHub exists is simple: I wanted to build something my dad could actually enjoy using.

The problem I kept running into

When I sat down to look for games for my dad, I expected to find helpful, senior-friendly options. Instead, I kept finding websites that felt noisy and overwhelming. Pop-ups appeared before the game even started. Menus were crowded. Text was hard to read. Some games were so poorly explained that he could not tell what to do next.

That experience stayed with me. I realized the issue was not that my dad did not want to play. The issue was that most of these sites were not built for comfort, clarity, or dignity.

What I wanted to build instead

I built BrainFunHub to feel safe and easy from the very first click. I wanted my dad to be able to open a game, understand it quickly, and enjoy himself without pressure.

  • Big buttons and large, readable text
  • Simple, engaging games that are easy to pick up and play
  • No ads, no pop-ups, and no confusing distractions
  • A place families can trust without worrying about malware or unsafe downloads

What matters most to me

The best part of building this site has been seeing my dad smile, focus, and engage with the games. Those moments matter to me. They feel familiar, encouraging, and human in a season of life that can otherwise feel very hard.

I do not see BrainFunHub as a cure, and I do not make medical promises. I built it because I wanted to give him something safe, simple, and enjoyable that could help him stay engaged and feel successful.

If this site gives other seniors, families, and caregivers a few more good moments together, then it is doing exactly what I hoped it would do.
